Taking place at the Ziegfeld Theatre, the former couple and current co-stars were joined by director Jake Kasdan and actors Lucy Punch and Phyllis Smith for the Big Apple screening.
As for their new film, "Bad Teacher" is "a comedy centered around a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague -- a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher."
With plenty of steamy scenes included in the picture, Diaz interestingly told that shooting them with her ex-beau made it more comfortable than it would have been with some other actor.
She told the L.A> Times, "That would have been kind of weird to do with someone I didn't know and trust. With somebody else I may not have known where it stood, but we know where it stands."
