As for the show, the 2011 MMVAs are being co-hosted by Selena Gomez while featuring performances by top acts including Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars and Avril Lavigne.
Adding to the celebrity-strong presence are Colin Farrell, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder - who are all among the scheduled presenters.
Meanwhile, Rihanna leads the pack with six MMVA nominations while Miss Gomez, Justin Bieber, Drake, Arcade Fire and Avril Lavigne are among those picking up multiple bids.
