O'Reilly's stunning goal set the United States on their way to victory
Sweden and the United States are into the quarter-finals of the women's World Cup after maintaining their 100% records at this year's tournament.
Lisa Dahlkvist's 64th-minute strike secured Sweden's second straight 1-0 success in Group C, with defeated North Korea eliminated.
The United States brushed aside Colombia - who are also out - 3-0.
A spectacular Heather O'Reilly effort and further goals from Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd secured their progress.
"The coach told us that if we get space in front of us we should just go for goal, so I found some space, took a couple of touches and just let fly," said O'Reilly.
"I think we did some great stuff today, I'm really proud of us as a team."
The United States will now face Sweden in Wolfsburg on Wednesday in what is effectively a play-off for top spot in Group C.
Both sides are yet to concede a goal in the competition.
