Bolton have made their first signing of the summer after midfielder Darren Pratley, who decided to leave Swansea, agreed a four-year deal at the club.
Pratley, 26, was out of contract at Swansea after 199 appearances for them in five years, the last being the play-off final win over Reading at Wembley.
"We're delighted to have Darren here," Bolton manager Owen Coyle said.
"A number of clubs were interested in him and we are pleased to have secured his services."
Midfielder Pratley, a £100,000 signing from Fulham in 2006, recently denied he had agreed to join Bolton Wanderers.
Pratley helped Swansea win two promotions in his five years in south Wales, but negotiations on a new contract were put on hold throughout last season.
The energetic midfielder lost his starting place in the latter part of last season as Swansea secured a play-off place by finishing third in the Championship.
He scored after coming on in Swansea's play-off semi-final second-leg victory over Nottingham Forest and played the last 35 minutes as a substitute in Swansea's final win over Reading.
